I personally love this place because they sell gently used name brands and designer pieces including clothing, accessories, shoes and bags, as well as new jewelry. Brands range from Old Navy to Coach and they have such a wide range of yummy stuff that they are in the process of expanding. I have yet to leave with nothing! Take a look at some pieces I have picked up...

Plato's is technically focused on teen and young adult fashion so if you like granny fashion, this is not for you! They are located throughout the country but by clicking on the above link, you will find all of their Illinois-based stores. Like most resale stores, Plato's is looking for current fashion (within the past 12-18 months) and name brand clothing. Instead of being a consignment shop, they will give you cash or store credit the same day that you take your items. One word of advice...I have found that if you take bags and bags of things in, you are less likely to get a fair price for them. Take only a few items each time and you will get what they are worth.

This is one place that requires a lot of your time and patience! You must really sift through tons of racks of clothing and you may or may not find something that works for you. I have found that it targets women in general, not a certain age group or demographic, and is a bit disorganized. That being said, once you do find an item that appeals to you, it is guaranteed to be so cheap you will feel like you are stealing it! I bought a pair of Banan Republic denim trousers there for $1.50!

I haven't been to a few of the shops you mentioned. I'll have to check them out sometime. Used But Not Abused (I think this is where I went, maybe it was Upscale Resale but I know UBNA is on Main in Morton too) on Main in Morton is kind of like Designer Consigner. I got a pair of Ralph Lauren shorts for $1.50 but that's all I found there. I almost always find something at Castaways in Washington. They carry name brand clothes and accessories. They have jewelry, shoes and purses too. They also have a clearance rack along the back wall. After something has been there for thirty days it moves to the clearance rack and is 50% off. I also LOVE the Goodwill in East Peoria and the one in Washington. I usually find something great every time I go.
